Solaris was founded in 2007 in the United Kingdom as an independent investment company and opened its Swiss branch office in 2012. From the beginning, the mandate has been clear: to acquire, hold and manage participations in companies, and to offer financial, advisory and management services to investors who need more than a product off the shelf.
Our investors typically operate at the scale of hundreds of millions to several billions. At that level, the questions change. It is no longer about picking a fund, but about structuring ownership, protecting capital across cycles, holding real assets and metals alongside equity, and making sure every position can be explained to a board, a family council or a regulator.
We are deliberately small in headcount and deliberately broad in mandate. The corporate purpose set out in our articles of association allows us to act as investor, holding company, adviser and trading partner. That flexibility is what our clients pay for.
